STONESHIELD WAX-OFF is a concentrated water based non-ammoniated stripper for the removal of waxes and polishes.
Uses:
Suitable for use on natural stone, marble, granite, travertine, limestone, slate, terrazzo, terracotta, bricks, cement tiles, glazed and unglazed ceramics, vinyl and plastic floor tiles.
Dilutions:
For general wax removal or heavy duty deep cleaning, dilute 1 part STONESHIELD WAX-OFF to 10 parts hot water. Coverage approx. 20 m2 per litre. For heavy duty stripping of wax and polish, dilute 1 part STONESHIELD WAX-OFF to 5 parts hot water. Coverage approx. 10 m2 per litre.
Method of Application:
Always test on a small area first to ensure suitability. Mask off all areas and surfaces not to be stripped. Apply diluted STONESHIELD WAX-OFF by mop, brush or soft broom saturating the area to be stripped. Allow 10-15 minutes for STONESHIELD WAX-OFF to work, but do not allow stripper to dry out on the surface. Once the wax or polish appears milky, scrub with a black stripping pad, nylon bristle brush or broom.
Water can be added while scrubbing to enable easier removal. Remove all residues of wax and stripper with a mop or wet & dry vacuum. Inspect floor to ensure all traces of wax and polish have been removed. Repeat process if necessary. After complete stripping has been achieved, thoroughly wash the floor with STONESHIELD DEEP-CLEAN. Rinse at least twice with clean water and allow surface to dry thoroughly before sealing.
Precautions:
Ensure good ventilation and avoid breathing vapours. Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear goggles, gloves and suitable protective clothing when necessary. Keep out of reach of children and pets and store away from other chemicals. Do not allow contact with other sensitive surfaces.
