STONESHIELD INDUSTRIAL CONCRETE SEALER is a premium quality high gloss, solvent based, urethane sealer that provides anti-dusting, maximum stain resistance and surface protection and ease of cleaning.
· For interior use on natural concrete only.
Uses:
· Designed for all types of industrial concrete floors.
· Can also be used on commercial and domestic concrete floors, where maximum surface protection and stain resistance are required. Only use on unpigmented concrete.
Coverage:
Approx. 10 m2 per litre per coat depending on porosity, surface texture, temperature and method of application. Generally no more than 2 coats required.
Expected wear:
Will vary depending on texture, hardness of surface, area, traffic, maintenance, weather and use of aggressive cleaners. Expected wear - up to 10 years.
Method of Application:
Allow floor surface to dry for 24 hours after washing, prior to sealing. Test on a small area first, to ensure suitability and desired result. Surface must be clean, 100% dry, free of sealers, waxes, grease and oil. Apply thin even coats of sealer using a lambswool roller. StoneshieldIndustrial Concrete Sealer dries extremely quickly and care should be taken when applying the product. Do not allow pooling or bubbles to form. On dense surfaces thin the first coat with 5- 10 % Xylene.
Cure Times:
Allow 4 hours between coats and apply the second coat within eight hours. Foot traffic after 8 hours. Vehicular traffic after 24 hours. Full cure in 72 hours.
Test:
A consistent even gloss is required.
Maintenance:
Stoneshield Daily-Clean or Deep-Clean may be used to clean and maintain the sealer. After 24 hours, washing and mechanical sanding with 80 grit sand paper will be necessary should an additional coat of sealer be required.
Limitations:
Industrial concrete sealer will yellow in direct sunlight and under UV lighting. Do not apply to damp concrete floors. Allow at least 28 days drying time after installation of a new concrete floor before sealing. Do not wet floors for at least 48 hours after sealing. Do not apply externally. Store and use between 16° C and 32° C only.
Precautions:
Ensure good ventilation and avoid breathing vapours. Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear goggles, gloves and suitable protective clothing when necessary. Keep out of reach of children and pets and store away from other chemicals. Do not allow contact with other sensitive surfaces. Flammable.
