STONESHIELD CEMENT SEALER is a premium quality, non-yellowing solvent based resin sealer that provides a satin finish, superior stain resistance and surface protection.
· A penetrating sealer that colour enhances and provides a “wet look” finish.
· For interior and exterior use.
Uses:
· Suitable on natural and oxided cement floors, imprint paving, cement tiles, pavers and cobbles.
· Also suitable for low traffic & domestic concrete floors.
Coverage:
Approx. 10 m2 per litre per coat depending on porosity, surface texture, temperature and method of application. minimum of 2 coats required.
Expected wear:
Will vary depending on texture, hardness of surface, area, traffic, maintenance, weather and use of aggressive cleaners. Expected wear - up to 5 years.
Method of application:
Allow surface to dry out for 24 hours after washing, prior to sealing. Test on a small area first, to ensure suitability and desired result. surface must be clean, 100% dry, free of sealers, waxes, grout residue, grease and oil. Thoroughly stir contents, prior to application. apply thin even coats of sealer, in one direction, using a lambswool applicator or a solvent resistant sponge roller only. Do not allow pooling or bubbles to form.
Cure Times:
Allow 2 hours between coats. Foot traffic after 8 hours. Do not apply externally if rain is expected within 12 hours. Full cure in 48 hours.
Test:
After 2 hours apply water droplets to one tile, if water is absorbed, apply additional coats. A consistent even sheen is required.
Maintenance:
Only use STONESHIELD DAILY CLEAN to prolong the life of the sealer. Re-apply STONESHIELD CEMENT SEALER if signs of wear occur.
Limitations:
Do not apply to damp tiles or floors. Do not apply in direct sunlight and on to hot tiles and cement floors. Allow 10 - 14 days after laying with a quality tile adhesive before sealing. Do not wet tiles of floors for at least 48 hours after sealing. Not suitable for use on polished stone, glazed ceramic and porcelain tiles. Store and use between 16° C and 32° C only.
Precautions:
Ensure good ventilation and avoid breathing vapours. Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear goggles, gloves and suitable protective clothing when necessary. Keep out of reach of children and pets and store away from other chemicals. Do not allow contact with other sensitive surfaces. flammable.
